Congo Clothing Company
Background
The client, Congo Clothing Company, partners with the survivors of sexual violence in the DRC via sewing skills training (supported by a portion of profits). They wanted a new product that the survivors could manufacture themselves.
Goals
Create a distinctive, usable tote bag unlike typical designs.
Ensure manufacturing is accessible by the survivors in the DRC.
Initial Survey
We surveyed 153 people and learned the biggest insights was the desire for an interior pocket and that tote style #4 was clearly the most liked.
